No spoilers.

Since when was Torchwood good? And I properly mean it. I mean genuinely, "credible television you wouldn't feel embarrassed to watch like you would for the majority of the previous 26 episodes" good.

I've just watched the first part of The Last Sontaran and I still can't get over how The Sarah Jane Adventures manages to be more mature and satisfying than Torchwood. As decent as this episode was, it offered nothing new. We've already had two very similar episodes like this and To the Last Man did little to really stand apart from them. This episode was basically the reason the phrase "Now that's more like it!" was created for, because really, that was more like it. Right from the start you could tell that the greatly extended production and filming time had seriously paid off. Torchwood season two promo from BBC America!

Firstly, that totally makes up for the unbelievably shitty Sci-Fi channel trailers for Doctor Who ("He's looking for a vacation..." No, he fucking isn't!). No way would old Aunty Beeb make a British trailer as good as that. Here's hoping we get the same one, with a few alterations. I doubt it though.

Gosh, I'm actually getting genuinely excited about season two of Torchwood now.

I mean, really!

I'm not willing January to come or anything, but this really does sound like a much better series in almost every respect. I'm nearly tempted to buy the Season 1 set now.
